Threshold seeks a dynamic and organized Marketing and Outreach Intern to help us reach bold growth goals through a creative and dynamic marketing strategy.

This is a part-time, paid internship at 10 hours per week. Our team works remotely. Candidates from all locations are welcome to apply.

You’re a versatile, motivated doer who’s excited to learn the ins and outs of digital marketing. You come in with a broad skill set—you’re a strong writer and at least a solid dabbler in Excel, social media, basic photo editing, and updating websites. You’re keen to add new skills to your toolbox refine the ones that are already there.

You’re keen to contribute your own creativity and ideas for marketing Threshold, collaboratively hone these ideas, and execute on them. You’ll be an integral part of a small marketing team and you’ll collaborate closely with the marketing and operations director to execute on our marketing strategy while growing your professional skillset.


This internship will provide you with a solid foundation in digital marketing and prepare you to enter the marketing field or market your own brand. You’ll learn what goes into a comprehensive marketing strategy and have a hand in shaping ours. You’ll get hands-on experience in executing each piece of our marketing plan and learn best practices in each facet along the way. We’re committed to investing in your growth.

Areas of responsibility include:

  • Helping us continuously refine our marketing strategy

  • Researching, reaching out to, and organizing contacts for potential sponsors/partners, ambassadors, and press

  • Coordinating with and supporting ambassadors in on-the-ground outreach efforts

  • Updating our website to reflect new content, drive engagement, and improve user experience, SEO and accessibility

  • Assisting with email marketing, including review success metrics on email campaigns

  • Engaging with online communities in an authentic and meaningful way 

  • Assisting with content creation and strategy for social media

  • Organizing and editing photos

  • Drafting press releases
