Threshold seeks a motivated and creative social media manager to craft thoughtful and engaging social media content and manage our channels.

This is a part-time position at 10 hours per week. Our team works remotely. Candidates from all locations are welcome to apply.

You’re a seasoned social media guru who can create and execute an effective, engaging, and fun social media strategy. You’re also a writer with vim, verve, and voice. You can crack a joke, take it deep, and everything in between, and you know how to bring substance without sanctimony, urgency without sensationalism. You’ll be collaborating with the marketing and operations director to support our overall marketing and outreach goals.

Areas of responsibility include:

  • Creating and scheduling weekly content for our Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter

  • Responding to messages, comments, and tags on all platforms in a timely manner

  • Generating and executing creative ideas for growing our audience across all SM platform

  • Assisting with other marketing and outreach tasks as needed


Writer: You’re a writer at heart (and maybe a bit of a grammar nerd) and seek to tell engaging stories through thought-provoking and engaging content and well-crafted prose.

Savvy: You know the tools of your trade: the inner workings of Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter, and third-party apps that will help you create and schedule posts.

Strategic thinker: Your ideas for our social media content integrate into a larger social media and marketing/outreach strategy.

Innovator: You think outside the box and aren’t afraid to experiment with different tools and methods to help us reach our social media goals.

Collaborator: You value and seek contributions and feedback from your teammates. You both give and receive support and aren’t afraid to jump in when an extra pair of hands is needed.
