In our first season, we explore the story of the American bison. The United States named bison the national mammal, but we still haven't decided if we're ready to restore them as wild animals on the American landscape. Could we ever live with wild, free-roaming bison again? Should we try? Why, or why not?

In season two, we take a circumpolar journey to find out what the Arctic is, how it is changing, and why that matters. The Arctic is warming twice as fast as the rest of the planet. But satellite images of melting sea ice don't begin to tell the whole story. Four million people live in the Arctic, and they’ve been dealing with the effects of climate change for decades. We wanted to hear from them in this pivotal moment — when the ground is literally shifting beneath their feet.
